Olive Ink Tattoo is one of only a handful of studios in the area offering permanent cosmetic tattooing. Many clients turn to permanent makeup to decrease their morning routine. Others turn to it as a solution if they’re uncomfortable doing their own makeup or like the idea of perfecting their base look.
Before submitting your Tattoo project proposal please consider the following.
Coverups of existing tattoos or scars.
Though coverups are not my main focus, I occasionally accept them as projects. If your project proposal is intended to cover an existing tat to you will need to send an image of your existing tattoo and a description of what you are hoping to cover it with. Reference images are helpful. This will not guarantee your project will be accepted rather it might determine whether your project is possible and within my scope of focus. Consultation/drawing fee for cover-up is nonrefundable and does not apply to the cost of the tattoo.
Fixing or finishing other artist work.
This is not something I have desire or time in my schedule to do.
Reference images.
Please provide reference images with your project proposal/request. Reference images of tattoos by other artists cannot be replicated as they are likely someone’s custom tattoo design. They can be used for inspiration only. Please be sure to bring these along with you at the consultation.
General tattoo design.
Typically my tattoos are created after an in person consultation has occurred. I am unwilling to draw anything up prior to an in person consultation. I do not do watercolor tattoos or tattoo designs with watercolor elements. Designing tattoos takes time and therefore there is a drawing fee. This fee is nonrefundable and does not apply to the price of the tattoo.

Chemotherapy and Radiation full treatments ~ prophylactic chemotherapy is generally safe to proceed
Active dermatological disorders, (i.e. rosacea, eczema, psoriasis)
Eyelash extensions must be removed prior to eyeliner
Sick with flu / fever
Active herpes anywhere on the face

Glaucoma eyedrops ~ medical clearance
Heart valves, stents, pacemakers, rheumatic fever ~ medical clearance

Joint Replacements ~ medical clearance and pre-medication
Insulin dependent diabetics ~ medical clearance and pre-medication
Fever blister history ~ medical clearance and pre-medication
Shingles history ~ medical clearance and pre-medication, even with immunization
Seizures ~ medical clearance
Blood thinners, steroids ~ medical clearance
Lupus / Autoimmune Disease ~ medical clearance and pre-medication

Lasik or Cataract Surgery ~ 1 month prior and wait 3 months post-op
Latisse or any other eyelash enhancement products including mascara ~ 2 weeks off
Botox or Disport ~ 1 day since they cannot lie flat for at least 5 hours
Fillers (i.e. Juvaderm, Silk, Voluma, Sculptra, etc.) ~ 1 week
Fat transfer in lips ~ wait 1 month for swelling to subside
Accutane full dose ~ 1 year (half-dose or prophylactic does needs medical clearance
Suntanned skin ~ 1 month
Retinols, glycolic acid (A.H.A.), Vitamin C peels ~ 4 weeks
Lasers ~ 8 weeks
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) ~ 1 week
